TOURNAMENT NUMBER TWO FOR ART U
Academy of Art will travel to Seaside, California to compete in the Cal State Monterey Bay Challenge this weekend. The Urban Knights start the tournament on Friday with Cal State San Marcos before taking on the host team, Cal State Monterey Bay, the following day.

KNIGHT WATCH
After ART U's first three games of the season, junior guard
Kai Tease is the Knights leading scorer with 12.3 points per game. Tease scored a season-high 19 points in ART U's
first win of the season against Sonoma State. The 19 point game is still the highest individual scoring performance for Academy of Art this season. Behind him is senior forward
Tim Graham, averaging 11.0 points per game. Graham's best scoring performance came in the season opener when he collected 12 points while shooting 4-of-6 from 3-point range. Graham is also tied for the team lead in rebounding, averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. Junior forward
Josh Hill also averages 7.3 rebounds per game and snagged an impressive 12 boards in ART U's
61-57 win over Cal State East Bay. Junior guard
Joshua Bagley rounds out the Urban Knights averaging double-figures with his 10.7 points per game. Bagley was the leading scorer in last night's victory with a season-high 14 points. He also leads the team in assists with six total for an average of 2.0 per game. On the defensive side, ART U is allowing the second fewest points in the PacWest (65.0).
CAL STATE SAN MARCOS COUGARS
The Cougars started the season with an 86-75 overtime win against Biola at the CCAA/PacWest Conference Challenge. The next day, CSUSM suffered their first loss of the season to Concordia by a score of 68-66. In their most recent game, and home opener, the Cougars cruised to a 89-57 victory against San Diego Christian. In the CCAA pre-season poll, CSUSM was voted to finish 11th of 13 in the conference. Two Cougars lead the offense, Alex Gil-Fernandez, who is averaging 14.3 ppg, and Khalil Fuller with his 14.0 ppg. This will be the first meeting between the two teams in program history.
CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY OTTERS
Cal State Monterey Bay opens their season with a record of 1-1. The Otters fell in their first game of the season 93-73 to Central Washington at the CCAA/GNAC Crossover. The following day, they notched their first victory of 2019 by defeating Concordia Portland in a shootout, 97-92. Three Otters are averaging double-figure scoring, led by Maurice Woods and his 18.5 points per game. Jahvon Johnson comes next with 16.5 points per game, then Ben Carter with 11.0 points per game. CSUMB's defense is currently allowing the most points in the CCAA at a whopping 92.5 points per game. The Otters were picked to finish last, 13th of 13, in the CCAA pre-season poll. ART U is 1-6 all-time against CSUMB, but won the most recent meeting in 2015 75-72.
SECOND CONSECUTIVE WIN SEES KNIGHTS DOWN PIONEERS
For the first time since 2013, Academy of Art has defeated Cal State East Bay. The Urban Knights took a huge lead in the first half and never gave it up to earn a
61-57 victory on Tuesday night at Pioneer Gym.
LOOKING AHEAD
After finishing the Cal State Monterey Bay Challenge, ART U will play Chico State on Nov. 27 before starting PacWest play with Fresno Pacific on Dec. 5.
