2019 PacWest Conference Championship Round One Results

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. -- Academy of Art had their best start in program history at the PacWest Conference Championship at Wigwam Resort on Monday, ending the day tied for third with a cumulative score of 299 and just three strokes back from first place Dominican.

Junior Gabriel De Leon Manotoc is the top scorer for ART U, tied for fourth following a 72 (E) in round one. Manotoc sank birdies on the first, eighth, and 10th holes and had the third best score on par-5 holes (-2) of the entire field. Junior Otto Homruen finished tied for 14th after shooting a 75 (+3) and seniors Oskar Frick and Lawrence Liang trailed closely with a round one score of 76 (+4) and three birdies apiece.

The Urban Knights will be back on on the links of the Wigwam Resort tomorrow for round two of the PacWest Championship when they will look to maintain and improve on a solid first round.
