KNIGHT WATCH
19637Approaching its final homestand, Academy of Art ranks third in the PacWest in both triples (eight, three from breaking the program's single-season record) and fourth in stolen bases (48). Now second in the conference in both batting average and home runs, catcher Lauryn Henderson is hitting .421 with eight long balls (four from breaking the ART U single-season record) while slugging a conference-best .768 (on pace to break the program's single-season record). Combining for 25 stolen bases between the two of them, junior outfielder Gabi Hirsch and junior utility Dominique Seva'aetasi are also hitting .289 and .283 respectively. Besides Henderson, the Urban Knights' power and run production has come from Youngquist who, while hitting .272, has four homers and a team-best 28 runs batted in (eighth in PacWest). After becoming the program's career walks leader in Hawaii, the Acting major remains in the hunt for career records in home runs (one to tie, two to break), runs batted in (12 to tie, 13 to break), and doubles (14 to tie, 15 to break). Ranking fourth in the conference with three triples thus far, freshman utility Nikki West has eight extra-base hits (tied for second with Seva'aetasi behind Henderson's team-best 17).

Still having issued the fewest walks among the conference's top pitchers with 55.0+ innings pitched, sophomore Cecilia Lopez (8-7) has only 17 free passes to her name through in 97.2 innings of work. She remains sixth in the conference with a 2.37 earned run average and the fifth-most complete games in the PacWest (12) through 15 starts.

REMEMBERING THE NAME
Since defeating Academy of Art twice back on Mar. 23, Holy Names has gone 2-16 with single wins over Azusa Pacific and Dominican. The Hawks are led offensively by Cassidy Simon who is hitting .317 with 22 runs scored while HNU's top pitcher remains Chailey Stewart (3-10) who carries a 3.87 ERA through 76.2 innings pitched. Despite the Hawks' wins earlier this season, Academy of Art is 21-10 all-time against Holy Names.

PENGUIN POINTERS
Enduring losing streaks of 10, eight, and seven games during 2019, Dominican brings a 5-22 conference record into this week's twinbills versus Notre Dame de Namur (Apr. 24) and ART U (Apr. 27). The Penguins look to McKenzie Schumacher (.363, 22 R, 20 SB) and Mady Christensen (.297, 4 HR, 24 RBI) to start their offense, but no Dominican pitcher sports an ERA lower than the 5.27 of Lauren Persi (5-12). The Urban Knights hold a 26-12 advantage over Dominican in the all-time matchup.

HENDERSON HOMERS, SF STATE TAKES A PAIR FROM ART U
Academy of Art softball faced off against local rival SF State on Apr. 18 at SFSU Softball Field and, despite sophomore catcher Lauryn Henderson's team-leading eighth home run, the Gators would emerge victorious, winning game one 8-0 in six innings then taking the finale 4-1.

LOOKING AHEAD
Finishing up not only its home-road series with Dominican, Academy of Art also plays its final two games of the season on May 4 in San Rafael.
