NCAA Division II Super Regionals Round Two Results
AMARILLO, Texas -- After play was suspended due to lightning yesterday, Academy of Art and the rest of the field closed out round two early Wednesday morning before round three. The Urban Knights slipped one spot on the board, but are still tied for fourth and in contention to move on to the NCAA National Championship. ART U is tied with Cal State San Marcos after they improved five strokes in round two for a score of 300 which brings their overall tournament score to 605. The Urban Knights are 12 strokes behind first place Dallas Baptist (593), 10 strokes behind second place Oklahoma Christian (595), and nine strokes behind third place West Texas A&M (596).
Sophomore
Iveta Posledni continued to lead ART U and is near the top of the leader board, tied for seventh. Posledni shot 3-over-par 74 for a cumulative score of 147. Sophomore
Anahi Servin had a strong second round, improving two strokes for a 2-over-par 73, bringing her total score to 148 for 10th place. Redshirt juniorÂ
Han-Chuan "Vicky" Kuo is tied for 27th after a 5-over-par 76 and junior
Elan Hawkins secured the final scoring spot for ART U with a 79 to end tied for 34th.
The Urban Knights will be back in action for round three Wednesday morning, for a chance at moving on to the NCAA D2 National Championship Tournament.
