KNIGHT WATCH

Currently, a total of five of the team's regular starters are hitting .250 including freshman infielder
Haley Randall, senior infielder
Gracie Sotomayor, junior catcher
Lauryn Henderson, and sophomore outfielder
Bethany Mitchell. With four of her six runs batted in coming over her last four games, Randall has begun to heat up, notching her first collegiate home run while batting .455 (5-for-11) in that span. For a team that is tied for third in the PacWest in stolen bases, Randal, Sotomayor, senior outfielder
Gabi Hirsch, and junior utility
Alyssa Rasmussen each have three swipes or more.
In the pitcher's circle, senior
Hannah Rose Balke (1-8) has tossed a team-best 47.2 innings with a 4.85 earned run average and 29 strikeouts.
DOMINI-CAN IT BE?
After opening 2020 with five losses at the Desert Stinger Tournament, Dominican swept two NAIA opponents then split with Concordia (Ore.) and swept Holy Names to have racked up five wins in the Penguins' last six games. As a team, Dominican leads the PacWest with 23 doubles and ranks second with a .312 batting average. Helping that end, the Penguins have relied heavily upon Lauren Lapinid (.447, five doubles) and McKenzie Schumacher (.439) whose 14 stolen bases pace the conference. Defensively, Shelby Keltner (2-1) has the lowest ERA on the squad at 3.34 while Alyssa Waltman (2-2) is not far behind at 3.76. A storied rivalry has seen ART U and Dominican meet 42 times previously with the Knights holding a 30-12 edge.
SOFTBALL RALLIES IN FINALE, SSU EMERGES WITH SWEEP
In non-conference action at Sonoma State, Academy of Art softball struck first and rallied late in the second contest, but the Seawolves stood victorious in 2-0 and 8-3 results on
