2020 Cal State San Marcos Fujikura Invitational Results (Final)
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – With three players finishing inside the top 18, Academy of Art women's golf finished second in the Cal State San Marcos Fujikura Invitational at the Shadowridge Country Club. Abandoning the two-day format, both rounds of the tournament were played on Monday with rain in the forecast for Tuesday.
Back-to-back combined round totals of 308 were led by junior
Anahi Servin's 2-over 74 in the first 18 then junior
Iveta Posledni's even 72 in the second round. Posledni ended as the team leader tied for fifth with a 149 (77-72) while Servin came in tied for 11th on a 152 (74-78). Senior
Han-Chuan "Vicky" Kuo matched scores with three others, finishing 18th with a 155 (79-76) while senior
Elan Hawkins served as the Urban Knights' final scorer at 163 (78-85) in 54th.
Led by tournament champion Jaime Jacob (137, 68-69), Cal State San Marcos secured the team title by 38 strokes. At 616 through the two rounds, ART U bested Pacific West Conference foe Holy Names (617) by one stroke.
With its second tournament of the spring season complete, Academy of Art looks ahead to its final competition of March – the Cal State Monterey Bay Invitational to be held at Corral de Tierra Country Club on Mar. 23-24.
