Fall 2021 Wildcat Classic (Final Results)
SEASIDE, Calif. – Aiming to close out the final round after round two was suspended due to darkness yesterday, Academy of Art men's golf ended the Chico State Wildcat Classic in 14th place at a combined 79-over-par 943, led by sophomore
Beau Willett who finished in a tie for 27th place at 13-over-par 229.
While the Urban Knights were hanging around in the middle of the pack when play was stopped in the second round, the final round proved to be a tough test for ART U, dropping back a few spots behind fellow PacWest members Holy Names (Ninth; 56-over-par 920) and Dominican (T-11th; 71-over-par 935). While junior
Matthew Watkins posted the best final round on ART U with a 3-over-par 75 with a pair of birdies, Willett nabbed the best Urban Knights combined score at 13-over-par 229. The top PacWest finisher at the Wildcat Classic was Luke Dugger of Holy Names, ending in a tie for 17th place at 10-over-par 226.
The Urban Knights will turn their attention to the spring championship season, as they will not return to the course until the calendar flips to 2022. For all the latest ART U men's golf news, check
