AZUSA, Calif. – Day two of the Urban Knights' three days of action in Southern California brought them up against No. 32 Azusa Pacific with the Cougars exiting Munson & Bavougian Tennis Complex on top 6-1 on Wednesday.

After claiming the doubles point with 6-3 and 6-0 wins in the second and third positions respectively, APU was strong in singles play with No. 4 Eleonora Liga defeating No. 19 sophomore Sofia Ragona 6-2, 6-2, Madison Kane topping freshman Maria Vittoria Casucci 6-3, 6-1, and April Wong going over sophomore Yun "Nicole" Shiau 6-4, 6-3 in the top three spots.

Sophomore Viktoria Leth highlighted the afternoon, rallying back in a 0-6, 6-4, 10-8 victory against Audrey Stewart on the fifth singles court while Carolyn Brooner's triumph over freshman Julia Ortega (6-2, 6-3) and Katherine Nguyen's win versus freshman Paulina Alvarez (6-1, 6-1) finishing the 6-1 victory for Azusa Pacific.

Wednesday's results put Academy of Art at 6-4 overall while APU elevates to 11-6 on the year.

ART U will complete its three matches in three days against No. 10 Biola tomorrow at noon.
