CSUSM Fujikura Invitational Results (Round One)

VISTA, Calif. – Round one was a solid start for Academy of Art women's golf at the Cal State San Marcos Fujikura Invitational from the Shadowridge Country Club, as ART U combined to shoot a 12-over-par 309 as a unit to tie for sixth place, led by junior Anahi Servin in a tie for seventh after she carded a 2-over-par 74 on day one.

Servin was just one of two Urban Knights to end the first day within the top 20 of the leaderboard, totaling four birdies over the course of her round with three of them coming on the front nine. Joining her is freshman Valeria Ruiz, who sits in a tie for 18th place at 5-over-par 77 with a single birdie in her opening score. Rounding out the scoring was the duo of junior Iveta Posledni and sophomore Jae Eun Park, as the two tied for 37th place with identical scores of 7-over-par 79, though Park had two birdies to just the one of Posledni. 

ART U sits just nine strokes back of team tournament leader and host Cal State San Marcos, as CSUSM with a 12-over-par 300 as a unit led by the individual leader Diana Delgado at 2-under-par 70. Biola is the top PacWest team in the competition sitting just three strokes in front of the Knights at 18-over-par 306. 

The final round of the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational would commence tomorrow morning beginning at 8 a.m.
