Servin One Stroke From PacWest Leader, Women's Golf 4th

2022 PacWest Championship (Second Round)

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. –
Continuing her chase to win her fourth individual Pacific West Conference title in as many tries, Academy of Art women's golf junior Anahi Servin held onto her second place positioning at 5-over-par 149 through the end of the second round, while ART U as a squad dropped from second to fourth place after combining for a 33-over-par 321 on Tuesday.

Starting the day just one stroke behind Claire Shubin of Dominican for the individual tournament victory, both Shubin and Servin would each card identical scores of 2-over-par 74 in the second round, setting up a final round showdown to determine the individual champion. Though Servin would start her day with three consecutive pars, a pair of bogeys on the fourth and sixth holes mean that the would only make the turn to the back nine at 1-over after she was able to pick up a birdie on hole eight. Her final nine holes would result in the same score at 1-over despite dropping a pair of birdies on the 11th and 14th holes.

Currently in a tie for 15th place at 15-over-par 159 is sophomore Jae Eun Park, who found a couple birdies on the front nine en route to finishing her day at 10-over-par 82. Trailing just behind is freshman Napat "Plern" Rattanaprakarn in a tie for 18th place at 17-over-par 161, using one birdie on the front nine to match Park's round of 10-over-par 82. Rounding out the scoring is junior Iveta Posledni, currently in 25th place at 21-over-par 165.

There was a shakeup at the top of the team leaderboard as round one's leader Biola has fallen to third place, allowing Dominican to take the top spot with a combined score of 42-over-par 618 thanks to the lowest round score by a team in the second round (17-over-par 305). Biola remains in second place just one stroke behind the Penguins, while Holy Names has rocketed up the board to take over third place at 45-over-par 621, followed by the Urban Knights in fourth at 58-over-par 634.

The PacWest Championship concludes on Wednesday with round three teeing off beginning at 7 a.m.
