2022 PacWest Championship (Final Results)
LITCHFIELD PARK, Calif. – The final round of the Pacific West Conference Championship would come and go with little movement on the leaderboard for Academy of Art women's golf, as junior
Anahi Servin would fall just shy of a third-round comeback and finish in second place by one stroke at 6-over-par 222, while ART U combined for a 86-over-par 950 as a squad to hold onto fourth place.
Chasing after her fourth consecutive individual PacWest title, Servin ended just one stroke shy after she carded a 1-over-par 73 on the final round, the same as individual winner Claire Shubin of Dominican (overall 5-over-par 221). Servin started her day with a birdie on the first hole, but ran into trouble on the final two holes just before making the turn at 3-over. Things would go much more smoothly on the back nine, as she dropped birdies on Holes 13 and 16 to end the tournament strong. Her final birdie was the eighth of the tournament, tying her for second in the 35-golfer field. With the finish, Servin was named to the PacWest All-Tournament Team for the fourth time in her career.
Just missing out on a top-10 finish was freshman
Napat "Plern" Rattanaprakarn in a tie for 12th place at 22-over-par 238, totaling two birdies in her final round as she turned in a 5-over-par 77 in the final round. Trailing behind her in a tie for 16th place at 24-over-par 240 was sophomore
Jae Eun Park, while junior
Iveta Posledni ended in 24th place at 34-over-par 250.
After taking a brief tumble out of first in round two, Biola returned to the top to claim a victory in the team portion of the tournament at 64-over-par 928, pulling ahead of Dominican by three strokes (67-over-par 931).
