Ismaël Elmi Expands Men's Soccer 2022 Recruiting Class

Ismael ElmiSAN FRANCISCO – Continuing its march toward the upcoming season, the Academy of Art men's soccer coaching staff has announced the fourth member of their 2022 recruiting class thus far as joining ART U in the Fall will be Ismaël Elmi (Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada/High Mowing School). 

The only true freshman so far in the incoming class, Elmi most recently graduated from High Mowing School where he played varsity soccer for four seasons. While at High Mowing, Elmi competed against schools within the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), as the program was a member of the River Valley Athletic League (RVAL).

In addition to his high school career, the forward was also a member of the Black Rock FC Residential Academy, a partnership between Black Rock FC and High Mowing that attracts high-level student-athletes from around the globe to provide a residential soccer program coupled with a premier high school education.

One of five siblings, Elmi's brother, Jean-Malik, previously played soccer for the University of Omaha Mavericks where he scored two goals on 15 shots. 

Upon his arrival at ART U, Elmi will join the School of Interior Design with the goal of one day becoming a designer.
