Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout (Final Results)

ALAMEDA, Calif. – Closing out the final round after two full play throughs yesterday, Academy of Art men's golf ended the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout in 15th place at a combined 39-over-par 903, led by junior Giulio Zanichelli who finished in a tie for 26th place at 1-over-par 217. 

While Zanichelli shot 12 birdies total through three rounds, the Parma, Italy native added on an eagle in the first round of competition where he shot his best round of a 1-under-par 71. Senior Allan Osornio was next up for ART U, as he also shot a 1-under-par in the tournament but in the second round, as his total came out to a 6-over-par 222. With junior Anson Pan's best round also being in the second round where he shot an even-par, his overall score was finalized at a 10-over-par 226. Two more Urban Knights competed in the competition, with senior Jack DeBenedetti finishing with a 22-over-par 238 while sophomore Jerah Venkaiya collected a 30-over-par 246.

The Urban Knights will be back at it in two weeks, as they'll compete in the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational at the Turlock Country Club with the first day starting on Monday, Mar. 25.
