SAN FRANCISCO – Academy of Art Athletics has announced the debut of "The Be Artist. Be Athlete. Podcast," a new show spotlighting the Urban Knights and delving into their respective journeys.

Hosted by Academy of Art student Zemario "Z Shepp" Sheppard, the podcast will be produced out of the School of Communications' Urban Knights Radio studio.

"I am on a mission to leave a lasting legacy at ART U," Sheppard said. "With a deep passion for artistry and interest in athletics, I'm dedicated to showcasing the university as an exceptional place to nurture creative talent and athletic prowess. My love for communication and interaction with people fuels my drive to connect with a broader audience and I am especially eager to highlight Urban Knights Radio, amplifying its impact and reach. I look forward to celebrating the vibrant community and opportunities at ART U."

The podcast is slated to run bi-weekly with guests ranging from student-athletes to coaches to administrators in the athletics department.

"Having members of ART U Athletics be able to tell their stories in their own words is our primary focus with 'The Be Artist. Be Athlete. Podcast,'" said Associate Athletics Director, Media Relations Rob Garcia. "We are excited to deliver a new chapter in our department's storytelling."
