2025 CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Academy of Art women's basketball sophomore guards
Maddie Morrow and
Anna Fornells were honored for their academic and athletic achievements in Tuesday's announcement of the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team selections.
The 2025 Academic All-District women's basketball teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
En route toward a 3.82 cumulative GPA in the School of Communications & Media Technologies, Morrow led the team in free throw percentage (.895) while averaging 5.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 14.2 minutes per game across 27 contests overall including two starts. The native of Christchurch, New Zealand ranked third on the team with 28 triples made, knocking down at least one 3-pointer in 15 of games.

Morrow, an Academic All-PacWest Team honoree as a freshman, demonstrated her shooting prowess for the second consecutive year with a propensity for big scoring performances from long range. Versus Stanislaus State on
Nov. 16, she erupted for a season-high 18 points, knocking down six triples (both a career-high and season-high among PacWest competitors) all in just 14 minutes on the floor. Morrow also collected a career-high eight rebounds against Cal Maritime on
Nov. 12 and collected two steals on four different occasions.
Working on a 3.69 cumulative GPA in the School of Interior Architecture & Design, Fornells ranked 21st in the PacWest in steals per game (1.3), adding 5.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 19.8 minutes per contest over 28 games played including 16 starts. The native of Manresa, Spain scored in all but two of her games and registered multiple steals in 12 contests.
Fornells, also an Academic All-PacWest Team honoree as a freshman, scored a season-best 13 points on two occasions, one of which featured four 3-pointers made versus Point Loma on
Dec. 7. Career-high efforts included six rebounds against Cal State Monterey Bay on
Nov. 9 and five steals against Cal Maritime on
Nov. 12.
These are the first CSC Academic All-District honors for Morrow and Fornells in their respective careers.
