Fresh off a four-game sweep of Menlo, Academy of Art softball prepares to begin another Pacific West Conference series with Jessup that will begin locally and end in Lincoln.

Three doubles in the month of April have elevated junior infielder
Audrey Allen's total to 14 on the year (third in PacWest, fifth in ART U single-season history) alongside her .328 batting average and 20 runs batted in (20th in PacWest). two home runs, 18 runs batted in, and 17 runs scored on the season. In her career, Allen's 34 doubles are the sixth-most in program history (eight from the record). Second on the team in batting average (.269) and runs scored (18), sophomore outfielder
Ari Mallari is one of five Knights with double-digit runs batted in as her 10 join her with senior catcher/infielder
Liberty Herrera (18), freshman infielder
Riannah Maulupe (16), and senior utility
Alexis Folks (10).
Two of the PacWest's top three in terms of innings pitched are junior pitcher
Kamielle Powell (3-18) and sophomore pitcher/utility
Kayla Vaughan (7-14). Powell's 136.1 innings of work (second in PacWest) come with 11 complete games (fifth in PacWest) while Vaughan's 135.0 innings pitched (third in PacWest) have included 14 complete games (first in PacWest) and 58 strikeouts (fifth in PacWest).
WAY OF THE WARRIORS
Jessup currently sits fourth in the PacWest standings after winning three of their last four series including three victories at Concordia. Earlier this week, the Warriors took two of three from Hawaii Pacific and now enter their final series of the year at 28-21 overall. First in the PacWest in home runs (32) and runs batted in (235), Jessup is led by Sarah Giles who paces the conference in batting average (.424), home runs (12), and runs batted in (66) while Maddy Ybarra is not far behind with a .396 batting average (fifth in PacWest), 11 homers (second in PacWest), and 56 runs batted in (second in PacWest). In the circle, the Warriors have relied on Alexandria Himes (9-8) and Bella MacFalane (12-7) who both have tossed over 113.0 innings pitched (both top eight in the conference) with ERAs of 3.41 and 4.32 respectively. Meeting one another six times since 2010, Jessup is in front of ART U 5-1 historically.

Holding a lead essentially through all 14 innings of the
Apr. 12 Pacific West Conference series finale with Menlo, Academy of Art softball got to work right away, outhitting the Oaks in an 8-2 victory to begin the afternoon then limiting the other side to just two hits as sophomore pitcher/utility
Kayla Vaughan (7-14) wrapped up an impressive week in the circle with a 3-1 win in tow.
