Career: Sanzari was an outstanding cross country/track & field athlete at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo ... on the cross country team from 2007-2009, she posted personal bests of 18:53 (5k) and 22:28 (6k) ... earned 2007 All-Academic Team and 2008 Big West Academic All-Conference ... on the track & field team from 2007-2011, she finished with personal bests in the 800m (2:13) and the 1500m (4:38.5) ... also served on the Student Athlete Advisory and Community Service Committee (SAAC) ... prior to Cal Poly, she was a four-year letterwinner in cross country/track ... was a High School All-American in the 800m and 4xmile relay ... team captain and Maria Carillo High School 800m record-holder (2:12.54) ... lists her biggest athletic thrill as getting to the state meet all four years of high school.
