2010: Maru had the best finish of all Urban Knights in the six meets in which he competed ... achieved his new personal best (24:33) at the Stanford Invitational on Sept. 25 ... had his top finish (1st) on two occasions (at the SF State Invitational on Oct. 8 and at the Pacific West Conference Championships on Nov. 6) ... earned three PacWest Runner of the Week honors during the season ... named 2010 PacWest Runner of the Year and 2010 All-PacWest First Team.

2009: Maru had the best finish of all Urban Knights in five of their five qualifying meets ... achieved his season best (24:44) at the Stanford Invitational on Sept. 26 ... had his top finish (1st) on two occasions (at the UW Sundodger Invitational on Sept. 19 and at the Pacific West Conference Championships on Oct. 31) ... earned two PacWest Runner of the Week honors during the season ... named 2009 PacWest Runner of the Year, 2009 PacWest Newcomer of the Year, and 2009 All-PacWest First Team.

Previous Experience: Amos Maru is from the Nandi Training Center and is one of the top middle distance runners who has run 1:50 for 800 meters and equivalent to 4:06 for the mile.
