2017-2018: 2017-18 Academic All-PacWest ... One of only three Knights to appear and start in all 26 games ... averaged the second highest minutes per game with 26.2  ... averaged 4.7 points per game for 127 total points and 3.7 rebounds per game ... collected 27 assists, 19 steals, and three blocks.

Santa Rosa Junior College: Long was a top defender for his team which helped lead them to a 20-9 season in 2016-2017. He was also dangerous from deep, shooting 38.2 percent from beyond the 3-point line. Long majored in Communications at Santa Rosa JC. 

High School:  Long attended Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, California. During his time at Montgomery he earned defensive player of the year and All-Area honors in the Northern Bay League. Long graduated in 2014. 

Personal: Kiel was born May 27, 1996 to Brian and Kristy Long who both attended Chico State. He has one brother, Bryden, and one sister, Belden. Kiel is an Advertising major.
