Johnna Brown

Johnna Brown joined Academy of Art University women's basketball as an assistant coach in February 2016.

Brown was a two-sport athlete in basketball and softball at Dixie State University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 2013. As a senior, she averaged 16.6 points and 11.7 rebounds per game en route to earning her second career All-PacWest First Team and All-Region honors. Prior to redshirting the 2011-12 season, Brown garnered Conference Freshman of the Year and All-PacWest Second Team accolades in 2009-10. 

She finished her career at Dixie State as the women's basketball program career leader in points, steals, field goals made, and free throws made, as well as top three in three-point field goal percentage, total rebounds, and assists. In softball, she remains among the top five in career batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage.

After her time at DSU, Brown obtained her Master's Degree in Science of Leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2015. She would complete her collegiate women's basketball career at GCU, averaging 10.4 points and a team-high 9.0 rebounds per game during the team's 2013-14 campaign.

Brown graduated from Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
