Making important contributions offensively and rebounding the basketball, senior center Caron Brown helped Academy of Art University earn two Pacific West Conference victories this past week. She averaged 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 44 percent from the field.

Brown started the week by posting her second double-double of the year in a 81-58 win over Concordia on Jan. 27. She finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds while adding two steals and one block. Two of her five baskets came on offensive rebound putbacks as the Urban Knights dominated the Eagles 61-48 on the boards. In 16 minutes of action versus Chaminade on Jan. 30, Brown scored nine of her 16 points in the second half and added five rebounds.

"Caron is just reaching the tip of her potential," said head coach LaNay Larson. "She is very strong, has great size, and is athletic for us in the post."
