Redshirt freshman Vicky Kuo was named one of this week’s athletes of the week after placing second at the Sonoma State Invitational.

In the first round, the Motion Pictures and Television major posted a career-low, 73 strokes which gave her a tie for third. Kuo was able to stay consistent on the final day, shooting a 74 to claim the second spot on the leaderboard. The placement was the highest of her career and it led the No. 10 women's golf team whose all four scorers finished in the top 25.
 
For her efforts, Kuo was also named the PacWest Women’s Golfer of the Week, the first conference-weekly honor of her career.
