Phoenix, AZ -- For his performance at the Stanford Invitational this past Saturday, sophomore Amos Maru (Nandi Hills, Kenya) has earned his third consecutive Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll selection. Maru finished 16th overall in the meet and posted a time of 24:44 on the 8k course.

In a field that contained competitors from Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Chico State, Maru managed to cross the line in the 16th slot which was well ahead of any other Urban Knight runner. Not only did he have the best time for Academy of Art University, Maru also achieved a new personal best with his time of 24:44.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 28, for races contested on Sept. 26.
