Urban Knights Outlook: After opening up conference play at home, the women now head on the longest and most challenging road trip of their 2010 season. They head to Hawaii to play five games in eight days, against all of the PacWest Hawaii schools. The Urban Knights start their Hawaiian road trip off by facing Hawaii Pacific University on September 27th.

Art U on the season: The women had a strong start to their season, but have been challenged since the start of PacWest conference play. They began conference play against two of the three toughest conference opponents the Knights will face. The women currently have a 1-3-1 overall record and a 0-3 conference record. They currently sit in 9th place in the conference standings.

Knights Update: The women added a few new faces to the roster as of last game. Sophomore Hana Klimek made her debut in Wednesday's game in the net for the Knights. Freshmen Lauren Huxtable, Kayla Soler, Magda Torres, and sophomore Maya Tucker have all joined the team, and some of them are already making an impact on the field. With the addition of those players to the already strong roster, the Urban Knights will be stepping up their game even more.

Scouting Hawaii Pacific University:  The Sea Warriors currently sit in the middle of the PacWest standings with a 1-1 conference record. They have scored six goals, in their five games on the season. They are led offensively by Meghan Fuller who has two goals for four points. Right behind her is Mairead Bretney who has one goal and two assists for three points on the year. Two other Sea Warriors have recorded a goal, and three additional Warriors have assists on the season. HPU's lead goal keeper has been solid for her team, seeing over 475 minutes of play allowing six goals, and posting 24 saves. When the two teams faced each other last year, the Sea Warriors defeated the Urban Knights 1-0 after double overtime.

Scouting BYU Hawaii:  The Seasiders are off to a strong start this season. They are currently undefeated with a 3-0-1 overall record. They are ranked second in the PacWest standings. They are led by three seniors and six juniors. They have already scored 12 goals this season and are helped by Emily Mearns who has three goals and one assist for seven points. Natasha Aiono is also doing well with two goals and one assist, and Kim Micheletti stands out with two goals on the season. Eight total SeaSiders have recorded a goal this season. Neither of the SeaSider's goal keepers has allowed a goal in four games. Last season when the two teams played each other, BYU Hawaii defeated the Knights 5-0.

Scouting Chaminade University:  The Silverswords sit just above ART U in the conference standings. They are currently in eighth place with a 0-2 conference record. They have scored no goals thus far on the season but have 64 shots on goal. Kristy Iwahashi leads her team with two shots, both on goal, on the season. Keeper Marissa Minor has seen a lot of action in the net. In 360 minutes of play, she has allowed 22 goals while recording 40 saves. The Silverswords are challenged with a small and young roster. They have just two seniors, two juniors, three sophomores, and six freshmen. Last season when the two teams faced each other, the Urban Knights won both games, with scores of 1-0 and 3-0 respectively.

Looking ahead: The Knights will be in Hawaii until October 3rd. After their first three games on the Islands, the Knights will head to the main Island to play Hilo on October 1st. They then come back to Honolulu to face Chaminade once more before they head home to San Francisco.
