PacWest Release

Phoenix, AZ -- Junior Kristen Sanzari and sophomore Kylie Long both proudly represented the Academy of Art women's cross country team on the recently released Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. At the University of Washington Sundodger Invitational this past Saturday, Sanzari was again ART U's top finisher and Long crossed the line with the second best performance for the Urban Knights. The honors were announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Tuesday, Sept. 20 for races contested on Sept. 17.


On a slightly longer 6k course compared to the one at the USF Invitational, Sanzari showed her ability to compete against members of several well-established four-year institutions such as Western Washington and San Francisco State. Sanzari earned a 29th place finish overall and put forth a time of 23:31.05.





Long came in as the second finisher for Academy of Art, turning in a time of 25:53.21. She took 98th place overall in the UW Sudodger meet.

This is Sanzari's second PacWest Weekly Top 10 honor of the season and the first for Long in 2011. Long collects her fourth selection of her career.
