Phoenix, AZ -- The Pacific West Conference announced their honors for the PacWest Fantastic 15 for the first half of the year, and the Urban Knights were well represented among the honorees. Newcomer
Beth Barker highlighted the honors, being named the Women's Soccer Player of the Week for games played
Sep. 24-30 and also to the Fantastic 15 for games played
Sep. 3-9. The Knights had three other players make the Fantastic 15 in a season that has been marked already by program highs in points and goals, and has matched the program-high for wins with six games left on the schedule.
Barker's big honor came after totaling five points on two goals and one assist in the 2-0 week for ART U from Sep. 24-30. Her corner kick with 13 seconds left bent in for the game-winner against Dominican on Sep. 27, a thrilling win for the Knights. Barker also assisted on the game-winning goal in the 32nd minute of a 3-1 victory over Holy Names on Sep. 29 while also adding a goal in that game to put the Knights even further ahead.
She also made the PacWest Fantastic 15 for the second week of games contested Sep. 3-9, when the Knights rolled on Mills College 10-0 and followed that up with a 1-0 win over Simon Fraser. Barker had two goals in the 10 goal bonanza against the Cyclones and also, in a preview of what she did later against Dominican, scored the game-winning goal in the second half on the Knights first trip to Canada against Simon Fraser.

Hannah Emmett also made the Fantastic 15 for games played Sep. 3-9, totaling five points on two goals and an assist against Mills. Emmett now sits at 33 points and 14 goals in her career, both program highs. Her nine points here in 2012 rank third on the team, and her four goals rank second.
Newcomer
Jule Klandt made the grade for games played Sep. 24-30, scoring two goals and totaling four points in the Knights 3-1 win over the Hawks of Holy Names. Klandt flirted with a hat trick, scoring the game's first goal at 23:41 and the second goal, the game-winner, at 32:24. Klandt ranks fourth on the team in points and is tied for third in goals scored.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Rachael Rempe also got in on the honors for that week, allowing 0.50 goals against and recording a .923 save percentage. She stopped all four shots against Dominican and blocked eight of nine against Holy Names. Rempe is already tied for the most shutouts in Knights history with three, and has allowed a program-best 1.73 goals per game in 2012.
