Game #18
ART U Urban Knights (4-11, 2-9 PWC) vs. UH Hilo (4-11, 2-10 PWC)

Hilo, HI -- Amauulu Field

ON THE APPROACH

The Urban Knights played their fifth-ever overtime matchup with Notre Dame de Namur last week, equalizing on a goal from Makayla Hickman late in the second half, but a goal in halfway through the first overtime period saddled the Knights with the 2-1 loss in ART U's final game in San Francisco for the year.

SWORDS STUCK IN THE STONE
The Silverswords of Chaminade are still winless on the year, dropping 14 matches in a row here in 2012. The closest they got this year to a victory was in an overtime loss against Fresno Pacific back on Sep. 29, and another 2-1 loss last week against UH Hilo. The Swords are led by Twyla Hamasaki, who has three goals on the year, and have five other players with single goals. Lauren Ishii has seen a lion's share of the time in goal for Chaminade. These two schools have played each other six times in their history, with the Knights holding a 4-2 advantage, including a 4-1 win last season.

REMPE SETS SAVES RECORD
ART U goalkeeper Rachael Rempe continues to have one of the best seasons ever by an Urban Knight between the posts, and last week posted a school-record 19 saves in an overtime loss to Notre Dame de Namur. Rempe had ten saves by halftime and blew past her previous high of nine saves early in the second half to set the program record, last held by Hana Klimek, who had 13 saves three different times in 2010. Rempe now has 93 saves this year, only 23 off the program record for a season. She is tied for the most wins by a single goalkeeper, and is also tied for the most shutouts.

FULLER FILLING THE GOAL FOR HPU
The Sea Warriors of Hawai'i Pacific will not reach last year's win total here in 2012, but are still proving to be a formidable opponent, battling to three ties this year and averaging 1.62 goals per game. Senior forward Meghan Fuller is leading HPU in goals (6) and points (13), and is closely followed by junior Andrea Aguirre, who has five goals and 11 points overall. The Sea Warriors haven't lost since Oct. 9 against Grand Canyon, going 3-0-2 over their next five games.

SENIORS HONORED LAST WEEK
Midfielders Tanner McCandlish and Jasmine Sharpe both played their final home games last week on Senior Day against NDNU. Both are completing their four years on the pitch for ART U, and have built quite a legacy as some of the original Urban Knights. They were both named team captains here in 2012, and have been with each other every step of the way. Said head coach Aileen Nasypany, "Tanner and Jasmine are both every coach's dream. Their loyalty, coachability, and desire to win has never wavered since they step foot on campus. Throughout their tenure and especially during their captaincy, they both have left such a positive impact as they helped to instill the core value system into our young program."

KNIGHTS FACE VULNERABLE VULCANS
UH-Hilo is in the midst of a skid where they have lost nine of their last 10 games, going more than a month in between victories, from Sep. 17 to Oct. 20, both wins against their fellow islanders at Chaminade. The Vulcans boast a pair of attackers with 16 points apiece, as Kristina Pasek has seven goals and two assists, and Brianna Lopiccolo has registered four goals and eight assists. The Knights are looking to avenge last year's 2-1 loss on 2011's Senior Day, and have gone 1-4 overall against the Vulcans in their history.
