Third Time's The Charm: Rogers On Weekly Fantastic 15 Yet Again

PacWest Release #5

Phoenix, AZ -- As consistent as the come, senior Jordan Rogers was named to the Pacific West Conference Weekly Fantastic 15 for the third time this season on Monday. Sporting the eighth highest scoring average in the PacWest and with confidence at the foul line, Rogers helped lead Academy of Art University during its 1-1 week. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ on Monday, Dec. 10 for games played Dec. 3-9.

Rogers turned in a pair of strong performances this past week with 14 points and six rebounds in a close loss at Cal State Monterey Bay (Dec. 5) followed by 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals in ART U's PacWest victory over Holy Names (Dec. 8). The Sparks, NV native split her 14 points evenly across two halves against the Otters, helping keep her team close with free throws and a buzzer-beating layup to end the first period. Rogers then played arguably her best all-around half of the year with six points, six rebounds, three assists, and four steals to start against Holy Names. She would finish off the win by making critical free throws down the stretch.

For the week, Rogers averaged 16.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in addition to shooting 84.6 percent (11-for-13) from the free throw line. She was tied for the eighth highest scoring average and 11th best rebounding average in the conference. Currently, Rogers is one of two Urban Knights among the PacWest's Top 10 in scoring (13.1 points per game) and ranks third overall in free throw percentage (.821) for the season.

Rogers receives her third PacWest weekly honor of the season and the fourth in her ART U career.
