San Francisco, CA -- City College of San Francisco
ON THE APPROACH
The Urban Knights lost a pair of 1-0 matches last week to PacWest newcomers Azusa Pacific on Thursday and Point Loma Nazarene on Saturday, but will face some familiar foes this time against the Red Storm and Grand Canyon.
DIXIE DOUBLES UP ON GOALS
In all six of the games for the Dixie State Red Storm in 2012, either Dixie or their opponent has scored two goals. Their schedule includes a pair of 2-2 ties, a pair of 2-0 losses, a 2-1 loss, and a 4-2 win. The Red Storm is coming off a 2-0 loss at the hands of the Lady Penguins last week, and will be led by sophomore Jennifer Mason, who has five goals on the year.
REMPE SHINES BETWEEN THE POSTS
Rachael Rempe is new to the Urban Knights, but has made an immediate impact making her presence known in goal for ART U. The 6'0 keeper has made quite an impression for the Knights, notching two shutouts and putting up a goals-against average of 1.17, which is less than half the goals-against average for any previous year in Urban Knights history.
DEADLOCKED 'LOPES COME TO TOWN
Grand Canyon is coming off two straight ties last week, with a 0-0 tie against Fresno Pacific and a 2-2 tie against Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont. They'll play Holy Names and then end their California road trip on Saturday against the Urban Knights. The 'Lopes have six goals this year, all from six separate players on the roster. Nicole Nsa has far and away the most attemps for GCU, getting 18 shots off in 2012.
