Krystal Forthan guided the Urban Knights to a 3-0 homestand this past week with three more double-doubles in dominating fashion. Forthan, who earned Hawaiian Tourism Authority PacWest Final 5 for her efforts, averaged 23.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 3.7 blocks, and 2.0 steals per contest while making it four consecutive games of 20+ points and 10+ rebounds.The award was selected for games played Jan. 20-26.
Starting against UH Hilo on Jan. 20, the Portland, OR native scored 10 points in each half and ended up tying the program's single-game record with six blocks in total. Her 20 points and 10 rebounds were crucial to the
Urban Knights' 74-64 victory. Then, versus Chaminade on Jan. 23, Forthan went for 23 points and a season-high 18 rebounds (tying her for second all-time in ART U history) in the
82-52 blowout.
She closed out the week with a new season-high 26 points and 14 rebounds to help Academy of Art
overcome BYU-Hawaii 79-70 on Jan. 25.
On the season, Forthan is now averaging 19.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, 2.1 steals, and 1.8 assists per game. This is the second PacWest weekly honor in Forthan's career after her
PacWest Player of the Week honor earlier this month.
