[
As we approach the start of the 2014-15 Academy of Art University Women's Basketball season, we invite you to learn more about this year's Urban Knights squad each week.]
Sherelle Williams is one of our three 'Super Seniors!' She transferred to Academy of Art last year from Tacoma Community College and she grew up in Seattle, WA. Now she lives in San Francisco with two other teammates. One of our many guards, Sherelle always comes with a good attitude and willingness to work extremely hard. We are hoping to make this a memorable year for her and the other two seniors.
Our
Fashion Department has had designers like Jean Paul Gaultier speak to students and it also sends students to New York Fashion Week every year. Sherelle found that ART U would enable her to pursue two of her passions: basketball and styling. She is a Fashion Styling major and couldn't be more excited about her work. Right now, what she likes working on most is her sewing project in her sewing technique class and enjoys learning how to use a sewing machine. Sherelle is a part of W.I.L.D. Women (Women In Leadership Development) which is a great group that empowers women and is headed by Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator
Meghan Bushnell.
