Forthan Named PacWest Co-Player of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. — After a breakout two contests in which she averaged 25.0 points and 15.0 rebounds per game, junior Krystal Forthan earned the title of Pacific West Conference Co-Player of the Week as announced by the PacWest on Monday. 

She matched her career-high with 28 points against #2 Cal Poly Pomona then added her third double-double in four games in ART U's 103-87 win over Cal State Stanislaus. In addition to averaging a double-double, she put up 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game.

The Portland native poured in 16 points in 11 minutes during a tightly played second half against the Broncos. She ended up shooting 42.9 percent against CPP and had two long range chances to tie in the final 20 seconds. She then had 22 points and season-highs of 17 rebounds and four blocks against Cal State Stanislaus on Nov. 24.

The PacWest Preseason Player of the Year ranks third in the conference in scoring (20.3 ppg), second in rebounding (11.3 rpg), and sixth in blocks (2.0 bpg).
