KNIGHT WATCH
Remaining at sixth in the country with a +6.77 turnover margin, the category they led the country in last year, Academy of Art leads the PacWest in scoring (78.8 points per game), scoring margin (+9.9), and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.0). Krystal Forthan currently averages a double-double with 18.6 points and 11.4 rebounds to go with 2.0 blocks, 1.9 steals, and 1.9 assists per game. She has eight double-doubles on the year with seven of those composing her current streak. Zoie Sheng is one of now four double-digit scorers on the team, putting up 11.0 points per game. Sheng and Jasmin Guinn are both among the PacWest's Top 5 in assist-to-turnover ratio as they average 3.0 and 2.4 assists per game respectively. Guinn, who leads the team in steals per game (2.2, 4th in PacWest), is up to third in the conference in offensive rebounds per game (3.4 rpg). Her 10 rebounds against NDNU this past weekend made her the all-time rebounds leader among ART U guards (292) after surpassing Jordan Rogers.

Jasmin Guinn
Helping contribute to the balanced scoring is Molly O'Brien with her 10.8 points per game and .477 field goal percentage (fourth in the PacWest). She had 10 of the team's 42 bench points versus NDNU while Alisa Griggs, the program's all-time leading scorer, had 18 points in 18 minutes off the bench in that one. Regina Camera, who scored a team-high 19 points against the Argos, puts up 10.7 points per game and dishes out 2.2 assists per as well. Sha'Nice Storey has been inching ever closer to Rogers on the all-time 3-pointers made category and is now three away from setting a new program record. She averages 9.8 points per game with 1.5 triples made.

REMEMBERING THE NAME
Since Holy Names dealt ART U its only conference loss (75-70 in overtime) back on Jan. 14, the Hawks have hit a rough patch. A comfortable 89-64 win over Chaminade came Jan. 18 shortly after the battle with the Knights, but five consecutive losses have taken HNU into its Academy of Art rematch. Hawaii Pacific beat Holy Names handily 92-71 on Jan. 25 then Fresno Pacific just barely squeaked past 66-65 to start February. After that, Dominican edged the Hawks 64-61 on Feb. 5 and Dixie State bested HNU 95-80 on the Red Storm's home floor. Despite the team's struggles, Sonia Aguilar continues to lead the way, averaging the second-most points in the conference at 20.2 ppg. Teammate Renique Fitzpatrick is second in the PacWest in rebounds (9.9 rpg) and just shy of averaging a double-double with 12.6 ppg to her name. When the teams met earlier this year, Aguilar burned the Knights for 33 points, getting almost half of those at the foul line. Historically, ART U is 2-3 against the Hawks all-time.

ANOTHER ARGONAUT ATTACK
It will be a quick turnaround to play Notre Dame de Namur as the teams played in San Francisco on Feb. 8. That game saw Jennifer Jasper, the team's leading scorer and she of the highest point totals in eight of the team's 20 games to date, go for 17 points with seven made free throws. Though NDNU will play Dominican on Feb. 13 prior to the rematch, ART U will surely need to watch out for Maya Arellanes (12.2 ppg) and Amy Woo, a dangerous outside shooter whose five starts came in the last five games where she averages 9.6 ppg. Historically, ART U holds a 7-2 advantage over NDNU with all six victories coming since the pair the Argos won in the first two years.

ART U WIN STREAK CONTINUES WITH 93-66 VICTORY
Academy of Art University Women's Basketball picked up its sixth consecutive victory, outdoing Notre Dame de Namur 93-66 on Saturday afternoon at Kezar Pavilion. The Urban Knights had program single-game records at the free throw line (34-of-43), including a 17-of-21 first half, and were supported by 42 bench points led by Alisa Griggs' 18.

LOOKING AHEAD
Following this week's games, ART U will travel to Fresno Pacific on Monday, Feb. 17 for a 5:30 PM tipoff inside the Special Events Center. Next week concludes back in San Francisco with Academy of Art hosting Dixie State at SF State's Main Gymnasium.
