PacWest Postseason Team Released
Newport Beach, CA -- Finishing off a strong senior campaign and settling among the best of the best in program history, Academy of Art University second baseman Lyle "Kalani" Brackenridge collected one final honor, as he was named as the First Team All-PacWest second baseman by the conference offices on Thursday.
Brackenridge finished 2014 with a .280 batting average and a PacWest leading 26 stolen bases, which also tied a program record set by Johnathan Robbins in 2011. He also showed flashed the extra-base power this year, posting a career high in slugging percentage (.394) while knocking 11 doubles, three triples, and a home run, all while anchoring down the Urban Knights infield at both second base and shortstop throughout the year.
In his tenure, which only lasted two years after he transferred from University of Hawaii, Brackenridge ranks third in total hits and triples, fourth in doubles, stolen bases, and slugging percentage, and fifth in both career batting average and career runs scored. He is one of only five Urban Knights to amass over 100 hits, and is also in the top ten in on-base percentage, and RBIs.
Brackenridge will be finishing off a Multimedia Communications degree.
