Sha'Nice Storey earned the honor of Pacific West Conference Player of the Week. She dropped a season-high 30 points (one off her career-high) with eight 3-pointers made (tying her career and the program-high) in the Urban Knights' 88-63 victory over Fresno Pacific on
Dec. 12. The award was based on games played Dec. 7-13.
Highlighted by a 6-for-8 start from long range, Storey set a program record with 20 points in the first quarter. She ended up going 10-for-18 from the field and finished 8-for-12 from distance. In addition to the scoring Storey did, she dished out three assists to be involved in nearly 40 percent of the baskets ART U made on Saturday.
Storey has now hit at least one 3-pointer in 10 of her 12 games this year, leads the PacWest in triples made per game (2.5), and ranks among the conference's top 10 in three-point percentage (.303). She has made the 13th most 3-pointers in all of NCAA Division II (30).
This is Storey's first career PacWest Player of the Week award as well as her first weekly honor of the season.
