2016 ROAD FINALE
The Urban Knights hosted UH Hilo over the previous weekend and said Aloha after splitting the four-game series. ART U now heads to Azusa Pacific to play the Cougars in their final road trip of the season. The set will consist of two double-headers: two nine-inning contests on Friday and a nine and seven-inning twin bill on Saturday. Live coverage will be available at the links listed above, but as always, you can follow the Urban Knights on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

KNOTABLE KNIGHTS
Sophomore outfielder Jacoby Barragan has been a leader with his bat as of late. The Commerce, Calif. native has made 11 starts on the season, totaling 13 hits in 39 at-bats (.333). Senior infielder Tyler Strawn has been the most consistent offensive force, batting .316 with a team-leading .400 slugging percentage. Strawn is one of just two players to start every game this year and leads the team with 10 doubles, 62 total bases, 49 hits, and is tied for the most home runs (1), and runs batted in (16).
Â
COUGARS ON A TEAR
Azusa Pacific spent much of the season with a sub-.500 winning percentage and did not even out until March 26 when they completed a four-game sweep of Holy Names at home. Since then, APU has not looked back, compiling 11 wins in 13 games at home and is 10 games over .500 in conference. Adrian Tovalin is one of three Cougars to start every contest and currently leads the team with a .354 batting average, 16 home runs, and a .701 slugging percentage.

LOOKING BACK: ART U FORCES EXTRAS, FALLS IN THE 11TH
April 24 -Â Artist-athletes from all different sports came out on Sunday to support the baseball team as they looked to take the series from UH Hilo. They would be treated to a well-fought, rollercoaster-type of game which saw the Vulcans eventually finding a way to win 7-6 in 11 innings.
Â
The Urban Knights came out swinging in the first, sending eight batters to the plate and scoring three runs in the inning. Junior left fielder Cameron Jones got things rolling with a leadoff triple to left-center field. Just two pitches later, redshirt junior second baseman Erick Luna knocked in his teammate with an infield hit to second base. After senior center fielder Joseph Marchini coaxed an eight-pitch walk, senior third baseman Tyler Strawn laced a single to right field. The play was mishandled by the defender, allowing two runs to score and Strawn to reach third.
LOOKING AHEAD
After returning from Azusa, Academy of Art will wrap up their season with a split home/away series with Holy Names.
