Junior forward
Andrija Blatancic overtakes the team lead in scoring after dropping a career high 16 points, including the game winning layup with 25 seconds left, while shooting 8-10 from the field in ART U's win over NDNU. Blatancic is averaging a team high 10.3 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game. Senior guard
Zuri Williams put together a diverse stat line against the Argonauts, collecting eight points, three steals, four assists, and four rebounds. Z. Williams' 14 steals leads all ART U players and is third highest in the PacWest.
CALLING ALL COUGARS
Azusa Pacific comes into their game with the Urban Knights with an overall record of 6-6 and a conference record of 3-2. The Cougars started their conference schedule with a pair of wins over Holy Names and NDNU before dropping two in a row to Concordia and Point Loma. APU won their most recent game versus Biola 73-59 on Dec. 15. Mandrell Worthy averages 16.7 points per game to claim the title of leading scorer for the Cougars. Academy of Art is 1-7 all time against APU and lost their most recent meeting 74-57.
BLATANCIC SCORING OUTBURST LEADS ART U TO WIN
In yet another game that came down to the final seconds, Academy of Art men's basketball took down Notre Dame de Namur 48-47 in Saturday afternoon's PacWest matchup. The win saw solid performances from multiple ART U players, but junior guard
Andrija Blatancic led the Knights with a career high 16 points while shooting an exceptional 8-10 from the field and collecting three rebounds.
