ROAD TO SAN RAFAEL BEGINS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Academy of Art will look to continue their two game winning streak and secure their spot in the PacWest Championship tournament with their final two games of the season. ART U will travel to southern California to take on Azusa Pacific and Biola in games that will make or break their playoff chances. As of now the Urban Knights are in sixth place with a 10-10 conference record and if the season ended today they would be the six seed in the tournament, but UH Hilo (10-11) is just a single game behind and holds the tiebreaker over ART U. If Academy of Art wins out they will unequivocally secure a berth to the tournament. If ART U wins one game the Vulcans must lose to Chaminade in order for them to make it and if the Knights lose both UHH gets in whether they win or lose against the Silverswords.

TIP-OFF
ART U will take on Azusa Pacific, Thursday Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Azusa, Calif. and Biola, Saturday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Mirada, Calif. Remember to follow @ARTU_Knights via the athletics app (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) and on Twitter & Instagram as well as "Like" the Urban Knights on Facebook for score updates, videos, and recaps.

KNIGHT WATCH
Senior guard Cobe Williams continues to mark his place in the ART U record books, tying the career 3-pointers made record Feb. 21 with his 105th against the Argonauts. The senior guard has been playing tremendously as of late with 10 or more points in seven of his last eight games and is second on the team in points per game averaging 10.1. First in the category is junior forward Andrija Blatancic whose 18.6 points per game is third highest in the PacWest. Last week, Blatancic scored 18 points against Holy Names on Feb. 17 and 21 against NDNU. The junior from Norway also sits atop the PacWest leaderboard in rebounds per game, averaging 8.5. Blatancic's point scoring efficiency coupled with the impressive rebounding numbers has resulted in six double doubles this season.

COUGARS CLINCHED
Azusa Pacific comes into their game with ART U having clinched a berth to the PacWest Championships. The Cougars still have plenty to play for though, as they are in a lock with Chaminade for the three seed. When the teams met earlier in the season, APU barely edged out ART U with a final score of 70-69. Since then the Cougars are 9-4. In their most recent game they defeated UH Hilo 88-70. APU leads the league in field goal percentage defense with teams only shooting 40.5% against the strong Cougar defense. It comes as no surprise then that APU also leads the PacWest in total blocks with 127 and have the conference's leading blocker Selom Mawugbe whose staggering 87 blocks outnumber every teams total besides Point Loma. The Cougars have dominated the all-time series against the Urban Knights with a record of 8-1.

EAGLES TO END
Biola is tied with the Urban Knights in conference with a 10-10 record, but the Eagles are ineligible for postseason competition this year. In the team's last meeting BU defeated ART U 62-54. The Eagles are an even 6-6 since the meeting and won their most recent game against Hawaii Pacific 70-56. BU will have one game before the rematch versus ART U, on Feb. 28 against Dominican. Trevor Treinen leads the Eagles in scoring with 14.3 points per game. A recent addition to the PacWest in 2017, the all-time series is only two games, with each team owning a win.

FIVE SENIORS HONORED AND SCORE IN WIN OVER NDNU
In the final home game of the year at Kezar Pavilion on senior night, the five seniors: Brenden Otero, Cameron Niven, Cole Morgan, Kiel Long, and Cobe Williams were honored before the game for their hard work and dedication to the program. And what better way to send the seniors out then on a 61-48 win in which all five Academy of Art men's basketball seniors scored. Read More.

LOOKING AHEAD
If all goes well the Urban Knights will look ahead to their first PacWest Championship tournament March 7-9 in San Rafael. ART U will be either the five or six seed and play March 7 at 12:30 p.m. or 2:45 p.m.
