KNIGHTS TRAVEL TO ROHNERT PARK TO TAKE ON SEAWOLVES
With its first two tournaments complete, Academy of Art softball will continue non-conference play with its first doubleheader of the season at Sonoma State this Wednesday.

KNIGHT WATCH
Leading the Urban Knights offensively after three consecutive multi-hit games in Arizona is freshman utility
Elle Edeker. She sports a .368 batting average (tied for 20th in the Pacific West Conference) while adding a double, a triple, and two runs scored. Sophomore pitcher/infielder
Katie Humphreys checks in next with a .235 batting average matching that of graduate student utility
Nina Vallejos who also paces the squad with three runs batted in.
Freshman pitcher
Julia Jordan (0-4) had the best start of her collegiate career come on Feb. 11 against Central Washington when she limited the Wildcats to one run on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts in 6.0 innings of work. She is currently fifth in the PacWest with 19 strikeouts in her first 21.2 innings pitched for Academy of Art.
WOLVES' DEN
At the Concordia Kickoff Classic, Sonoma State picked up three wins, including one over Biola (ranked No. 3 at the time), then swept Holy Names in its first non-conference doubleheader. The Seawolves currently have four hitters batting over .400 including Giana Hays who is at .588 (second in CCAA) with six extra-base hits, six RBIs, and eight runs scored. In the circle, Jesse DuPuis (2-0) has the squad's lowest ERA at 1.81 and most innings pitched at 19.1. Sonoma State leads the historical matchup with ART U 15-2.
WASHBURN CLOSES DESERT STINGER WITH WIN OVER KNIGHTS
Just two runs separated Academy of Art softball and Washburn through the first three innings of their matchup on
Feb. 13, but the Ichabods ended up rallying late for a 9-0 win on the final day of the Montana State Billings Desert Stinger from Lincoln Park.
ON THE HORIZON
Another non-conference doubleheader is on the way next week as ART U hosts Cal State Monterey Bay from Mission Blue Field on Feb. 23 before opening PacWest play with two against Concordia on Feb. 27.
