SAN FRANCISCO – In the first announcement toward a collection of new additions to the program, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
Kevin LaSure and his staff will welcome multi-time All-American sprinter Britney Clark (St. Louis/Southwest Baptist) in 2022-23.

"We are extremely excited about the opportunity to work with Britney Clark," LaSure said. "She was a multi-time national qualifier and All-American while at Southwest Baptist so I'm eager to see what she brings to the team. Her versatility and experience will help the team in many different areas and aspects. She seems like a real joy to coach, she wants to be the best she can, and she's always willing to be coached which has contributed to her prior success."
After making her debut with Southwest Baptist in 2018-19, Clark had a breakout season in 2021 when she ran 7.56 in the 60m dash to reach Indoor Nationals where she placed fourth overall with a personal record of 7.53. She would then join with her teammates in winning a Great Lakes Valley Conference title in the 4x100m (46.00) before taking fifth (45.52) at Outdoor Nationals ahead of ART U in seventh that year. Returning to the postseason twice in 2022, Clark would go on to match her 7.53 record in the 60m then achieve a GLVC Championship in the 100m with a new best of 11.70.
Three times All-State, four times All-District, and a team captain during her four years on the varsity track & field team at Webster Groves High School, Clark also competed for her club team, the Saint Louis Blues.
As she pursues her goal of becoming a writer for a writers' room, Clark will enter the Academy of Art School of Writing for Film, Television & Digital Media this fall.
