2023 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-Region
NEW ORLEANS – Approaching this week's NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships, Academy of Art University track & field concluded its 2023 indoor regular season with a total of 43 All-Region honors as announced by the nation's foremost track and field organization on Tuesday.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awarded All-Region to the top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three, meaning 11 members of the Urban Knights men's squad and 11 women were selected.
Leading a men's team rankedÂ
12th in NCAA DIIÂ (second in West Region) with four honors was
Robin Black (60mH, 60m, 200m, 4x400m) while
Shareez Hamm (60mH, 400m, 4x400m) followed with three to his name.
Duncan Agyemang (60m, 400m),
Yacouba Gnacko (Long Jump, Triple Jump),
Ajani Ince (60m, 200m), and
Makarios Page (400m, 4x400m) each earned two honors apiece. Solo selections came for
Mathieu Tshani (Triple Jump),
Daniel Cortes Gonzalez (High Jump),
Elijah Roberts (High Jump),
Crockett Schooler (60mH), and
Omodiaogbe Oboh (4x400m).
For a women's team rankedÂ
10th nationally (second in West Region), the quintet of
Selena Arjona-Alcazar (60m, 200m, 4x400m),
Britney Clark (60m, 400m, 4x400m),
Marie-Jeanne Ourega (60mH, Triple Jump, Long Jump),
Lina Hanich (800m, 4x400m, DMR),
Katharina Goetschl (Mile, 3000m, DMR) each had three honors apiece. Next sporting a pair each was
Lisa Redlinger (3000m, 5000m) and
Michaela Andrews (800m, 4x400m) while singular selections for
Darria Matthias (200m),
Audrey Rosencrans (5000m),
Grace Southern (DMR), and
Anna Belles Gallen (DMR) rounded out the collection.
The ART U men's and women's teams will be in action at the 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia on Mar. 10-11.
