Biography

2015: Thurman once again was a starter for Academy of Art, starting in all 54 games this season ... batted .329 in 170 at bats. She ranked second on the team in runs batted in (37), third in base hits (56) and third runs scored (31) ... she recorded 11 doubles, a slugging % of .453 and an on-base % of .395 ... Thurman also completed 124 put outs and had 71 assists, posting a .980 fielding percentage.

2014: Thurman started in all 50 of 50 games played ... batted a career-high .374 in 155 at bats. She was tied for the team lead in home runs (5) and led the team in RBIs (52) ... recorded 58 hits, 15 doubles, a slugging % of .568 and an on-base % of .436 ... was named 2014 All-PacWest Second Team and won the PacWest Player of the Week honors twice (Weeks of Mar. 17, Apr. 7).

2013: Thurman started in 48 of 48 games played ... She ranked fourth on the team with a .316 average over 136 at bats. She also ranked third on the team with 24 RBIs ... recorded 43 hits, seven doubles, one triple, and one home run with a slugging % of .404 ... was named the PacWest Player of the Week for the week of Apr. 21 after a four-game stretch where she went 10-for-12 with seven RBIs, three doubles, and a home run vs. BYU-Hawaii and Notre Dame de Namur.

2012: Thurman started in 44 of 45 games played... batted .331 in 127 at bats. She ranked third on the team with 24 RBIs ... recorded 42 hits, seven doubles, one triple, and two home runs with a slugging % of .449 and an on-base % of .404. She had season highs on the road vs. Grand Canyon going 2-4 with a two-run homer, and again in the same trip vs. Dixie State going 2-2 with yet another two-run homer.

Previous Experience: Thurman was a four year letter earner at Trabuco Hills High School where she started all four years ... helped lead her team by being a co-captain her junior and senior years ... in 2010 batted .421 ... was named to the First Team All-League in both 2010 and 2011.

Personal: Taylor Thurman was born in Mission Viejo on May 26th ... parents are Marvin and Charon ... her biggest athletic thrill was being a part of the first ever Trabuco Hills softball team to win the Sea View League ... hobbies include softball, shopping, reading magazines, eating, music, writing, and watching Project Runway, American's Next Top Model, and The Rachel Zoe Project ... majoring in Fashion Merchandising.
