Biography

2017: Fernandez did it on both sides of the ball for the Knights. At the plate he hit .261 with three RBI and 15 runs. On the mound, Fernandez appeared in 10 games, starting seven of them, totaling 52 innings pitched. He posted a 4.15 ERA with 33 strikeouts and a 2-4 record.

2016: Redshirted

Napa Valley College: Fernandez was both an outfielder and a pitcher for the Storm....during his two-years, he made 24 appearances (18 starts), struck out 77, earned five wins and had a 4.19 earned run average...also played 60 games in the outfield...collected 32 hits with eight stolen bases and a better-than .350 on-base percentage...in 2014 he went 4-2 with a 3.13 ERA and totaled 41 strikeouts.

Napa High School: Graduated from Napa High School in 2012...was part of Napa's Monticello Empire League title in 2012 and their trip to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I North tournament...was a two-sport athlete with the Indians, earning all-MEL Honorable Mention honors in baseball and basketball in 2012 and was named team captain and most valuable player for both teams.

Personal: Fernandez's parents are Arturo and Dianna and his four siblings are: AJ, Mateo, Chepina, and Tessa.
