KNIGHT WATCH
After accumulating eight saves against Biola and five versus Point Loma, senior goalkeeper
Morgan Wirz is this week's Knight to watch. Wirz collected 13 saves last week bringing her total to 33, fourth most in the PacWest conference.
HELLO HILO
UH Hilo is third in PacWest standings with four points on a 1-0-1 conference record. The third place Vulcans come into the match on a two game win streak first defeating Azusa Pacific 2-1 for their first PacWest win, then taking down Chaminade in a non-conference game 2-0 to bring their overall record to 3-1-2. UH Hilo will play one game on the mainland against Saint Martin's Tuesday Oct. 2nd before facing the Urban Knights. Tiera Arakawa is the Vulcan's leading goal scorer with two. Arakawa also leads the team with two assists for a total of six points. The all-time series stands at 2-8-1 with UH Hilo winning the most recent meeting 4-0.
FIRST PLACE SEA LIONS DEFEAT URBAN KNIGHTS
Academy of Art and first place Point Loma squared off in
Saturday's PacWest matchup at CCSF Soccer Field. The Urban Knights defended well throughout, but a pair of goals in each period forced ART U to drop the match 2-0.
LOOKING AHEAD
After UH Hilo, Academy of Art will have a week break before traveling to Belmont, California to take on Notre Dame de Namur Thursday Oct. 11 at 3 p.m.
