Academy of Art women's cross country redshirt sophomore Katharina Goetschl emerged from NCAA Division II West Regionals as an All-Region Team honoree after finishing 12th overall out of 164 runners.

The NCAA postseason meet on Nov. 4 saw Goetschl make her first move up past seven others midway through, settling into the top 10 before crossing the finish line in 12th with a new 6k season-best 21:20.5 mark. She joined teammate junior Grace Southern (20:58.6), Jenny Bergren (21:01.6), and Hasna Kaarour (21:05.0) as the program's new top four fastest 6k times with the effort, bettering Natalia Novak (21:20.7) for the fourth spot. Individually, Goetschl's 12th place result also saw her end as the fifth finisher from the PacWest, bettering her placement from the conference meet.
