Academy of Art volleyball's Maya McClellan saved her best for last as the graduate student outside hitter/right side's last collegiate match saw her explode for a career-high 27 kills in the Urban Knights' 3-2 victory over Dominican on Senior Day.

Tears turned into cheers as friends and family celebrated McClellan as well as graduate student outside hitter Amalie Rupertova in a pre-match ceremony before the San Carlos native logged no fewer than four kills in each of the five sets, sending down four of her six in the fifth set alone during a 6-1 start to the frame that propelled the win. The Interior Architecture & Design major's 27 kills were third-most in program history and came with 13 digs, two blocks, and two service aces.

McClellan ended the season ranked second in the Pacific West Conference in both points (4.22) and kills (3.63) per set.
