The Indoor Long Jump defending National Champion, Marie-Jeanne Ourega wasted no time taking the top spot in NCAA Division II in the event at the GVSU Holiday Open while adding a top-three Indoor Nationals provisional in the triple jump as well.

In action for the first time this year on Dec. 8, Ourega began with a 20-2.5 (6.16m) in the long jump to elevate to first in the country by nearly a full inch. The Communications & Media Technologies major then went over 40 feet in four of her six triple jump attempts, winning the competition with an Indoor Nationals qualifying 41-0 (12.50m) good for third in the nation on her third try.
