Freshman outside hitter Brittany Ulmer showed she can do it all during the Humboldt State Tournament this past weekend. After posting seven kills against Central Washington on Friday, Sept. 2, Ulmer had six kills, 10 digs, and two block assists versus host Humboldt the following day.
She came out even stronger in the Urban Knights' final match of the tourney with 12 kills, three service aces, 15 digs, and two more block assists against Saint Martin's. For all her efforts, it was the freshman's calm confidence which won her praise from Head Coach Allison Magner. There were numerous instances throughout the weekend and especially in the finale where Ulmer delivered in clutch situations, effectively helping ART U obtain its first victory of the season.
