First-year goalkeeper Jessica Bibby held her own and wrapped up a clean sheet with an impressive punch save as time expired against a strong Dominican team on Saturday. In a non-conference matchup against the Penguins, who Bibby will have to take on twice more later this season in PacWest play, the Urban Knights keeper turned away nine shots on goal to get her first shutout and victory.

Dominican only managed one shot on goal and four total shots in the first half, but Bibby had to turn away eight shots in the second half, including a barrage of three corner kicks in two minutes that all came up empty for the Penguins. Bibby's clean sheet was just the kind of solid performance that Head Coach Aileen Nasypany was looking for, and her knack for finding the ball at key times ensured the first ART U victory of 2011.
