Competing for the final time in her collegiate career, senior Jazmin White finished strong this past Saturday at the 2012 Sacramento State Open. White would sprint through both the 200m and 400m dashes, two events in which she has shined this season.
In the 200m, White would cross the line ahead of a pair of sprinters from UC Davis, logging a time of 25.13. The Folsom, CA native added a 58.33 mark in the 400m. White's 2011-12 season saw her produce numerous individual program records including new top marks in the 100m, 400m, a lifetime best in the 200m, and many valuable contributions with the women's 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams.
“Jazmin has been a model of what we want our team to represent: hard-working, dedicated, a great student, leader, and just everything you want in an athlete,” head coach Charles Ryan said. “We will miss her next year for sure.”
